Benjamin Franklin Bridge at Sunrise - Philadelphia

A bridge can be a symbol for many things but I see it as a symbol of transition, a crossing from one way of life to another. That’s probably why I started some very important photo albums / scrapbooks with bridges (see below).

 

This picture shows the Benjamin Franklin Bridge at sunrise as seen out of our hotel room window.

As I described in my last post the Ben Franklin Bridge is a suspension bridge across the Delaware River connecting Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Camden, New Jersey. At its completion in 1926 its 533-metre span made it the world’s largest suspension bridge span.
