Evening in Mértola, Portugal

Mértola lies on the shores of the Guadiana river, close to the Spanish border in the south-eastern Alntejo area, just above the border with Algarve. It had been on my wish list for quite some time, and this time I finally got there and was able to take this picture from the window of my hotel room.
