A pretty sign of Spring (explored)

The snakehead fritillary (Fritillaria meleagris) is a pretty little flower that is now blooming in our city park. There are many names for the plant, including 'drooping tulip'. It belongs in the family of lilies and the heads are about 1 inch long. The plant is common along the river floodplains in Europe. Photographing a specimen on a slightly windy evening with my new macro lens, was quite a challenge, but I'm happy with the result.
