Slice of Paradise
This is Wadi Shab in Oman, taken in 1998. There was very little tourism, and plenty of unspoiled, beautiful spots that the guide books had never heard about. Wadi Shab is about as beautiful as you can get. It is a narrow, walkable canyon, that leads inland from the beach. The river spills downward in a multitude of small waterfalls. Wading through the river every now and then is part of the fun. Towards the end, walking becomes swimming, and a narrow opening leads you to a beautiful, watery cave. Back then I felt like I had discovered a piece of Paradise.
