Yes. Night Fever. BEE GEES. Blasting in the air on the sunny day as we walked along the ALSTER water´s edge in Hamburg...OK. You so know i had to find out what & where the hell is this disco party amongst the peaceful beach goers lounging on the grass. Or was this time warp coming from one of the many boats or canoes breezing through the waters on the river?
I mean...the BEE GEES..really?
OK Maybe ADDA had just one TOO MANY of those DAMN F§(%ING GOOD GERMAN beers? Well, no. But when he turned around the corner of the tree lined path and saw a little red wagon with some speakers on it....I thought, damn, those drugs i took in the 70`s have come back in some damn bizarre flashback... a Little Yellow Wagon with the words painted on the side...BEE GEES WORLD TOUR was blasting the disco fever tune.
Well, the first thing i thought was....geesh, the BEE GESS certainly have fallen on hard times if they had to trade in private planes and tour buses for a Red Flyer wagon....So, YOU know, I had to go up to the two young guys standing next to it who really didn.t seem like dead ringers for Andy nor Barry ...and , wait, aren.t they dead, anyway?
No, the two guys were best friends, and, no, they were not the BEE GEES; as they said, "We are the world.s most fanatic BEE GEES fans." It turns out the music-blaster had 300 BEE GEES songs..i mean, like the BEE GEES had 300 songs in their career? Apparently so, and the two guys knew every one...
They were super excited to talk about their devotion to the BEE GEES. They spoke of going to the concerts in the day with their highlight in meeting BARRY GIBB ! "We want to show the world the BEE GEES !", they chimed in.
They were an absolute delight to see such BEE GEES enthusium, though, i have to say, it might be kind of hard to travel around the world towing a Little Yellow Wagon blasting the sainted BEE GEES tunes.
