FUN HALLOWEEN !
FUN HALLOWEEN ! i stood in the door way downstairs waiting for the tricksters which is much easier than me running up and down the stairs
also, when i saw a pack of trick-or-treaters across the street, i walked across with my armload of goodies
because everyone was focused on going to Sea Cliff, they didn't really go down my street. so when they came to the corner, i hailed them over or walked over...
.....everyone was having fun.... the amount of THANK YOUs makes me want to go all out next year....
but then, i guess, when one gives out mini-almond joys, full roll of Mentos, madelines, and those spider rings, that halloween stash really does make a trick-or-treater smile
several kids said i incorrectly gave them two items instead of one and offered to give the extra item back. i told them to keep both treats.
one ninja stated that Mint Mentos are 'too spicy', i told him to give them to his dad & gave him a handful of treats ...
one pirate asked politely if he could trade the mini-almond joy for the Mentos....i gave him both...to his delight
the parents all got GIANTS spider rings....orange and black ones....
everyone was in a fun mood...no tricks...
---------------------------------------
a long-haired blond trick-or-treater kid came to my door.
ADDA DADA smiled and giggled, "Oh, you're so cute. Do you like Hello Kitty? I have HELLO KITTY treats for the girls!" ...
"err, No. I'm HE-MAN" , he said.
"oh, oh, oh my god. err, sorry.", i stumbled, total red faced, as I died of embarrassment. . ....
Warning: the HE-MAN costume is a dead-ringer for a drag queen !
====
i had so many little TRICK-or-TREATERS who said THANK YOU and wish me a HAPPY HALLOWEEN...it was so heart warming... a little princess said, "Oh, Mentos, a madeline, an Almond Joy, AND a spider ring ! You're the best!"..
.I almost started to cry
