365 project - day 10
*explored on 14/09/15,* much excitement ensued :)
This past week has been orientation week for Western
university, and it's been way too busy to be able to produce any decent work so I haven't. I didn't think I was a perfectionist but maybe it's something i've got to work on.
Aren't self portraits so hard to take? it's impossible to get them in focus AND in the pose that you like, seriously, this was the best out of 96 photos that I took one hungover Sunday morning.
It's really strange, I didn't think I was ever very vain but in photographing myself i'm noticing all my flaws, and i'm noticing how much I hate them. I guess i can finally relate to teenage girls.
Thankfully I've been able to restart my project today and hopefully there won't be any more interruptions.
STROBIST INFO: clamshell lighting, ratio 4:1, (600 EXRT's) top light : bottom light. top light modified with a softbox and the bottom light shot (at 200mm) through an umbrella. all directly in front of sitter. triggered with a canon wireless radio transmitter.
