Hibiscus mutabilis L. Malvaceae. CN: [Malay - Bunga waktu besar, Baru landak, Kembang cina], Waru landak, Amapola, Confederate-rose, Cotton-rose, Chinese-rose, Changeable-rose, Dixie rose-mallow. Native to China, Japan (Kyushu, Ryukyu Islands), Taiwan. Erect, branched bushy shrub/treelet ca 2 to 4 m high. Flower maybe double or single and opening up pale pink or white and darkening into shades of red as the day advances. Uses as ornamental and folk medicines.
