The 'A' station to the left was brought into use in 1960 and the later 'B' station to the right opened fully in 1966, the year of this view. 'A' station closed in 1999 with 'B' station closing in 2001. The power stations were domished over the next two years with the 4 chimneys being toppled by explosives in DEcember 2003.
