Hindleap Warren Residential with London Youth

Young people from the 'Breaking Barriers' project in Lewisham alongside youth workers from Lewisham Council, Active Communities Network and London Youth are seen on a residential at the Hindleap Centre in Sussex.
The partnership between London Youth and Active Communities Network with Sport England funding and support from Lewisham Council not only focuses on creating opportunities for young people by leading them on the right pathway, but it is about giving young people the opportunities to give back to the community by becoming coaches, community leaders and experience which can help them to become youth workers.
The residential benefited young people and their personal development, bringing them out of their comfort zone and challenging them to try new things.
Breaking Barriers was set up in response to a need for more after-school sports activities for 14+ year old's with the funding allowing it to expand to offer more regular sessions in 2014.
