Young Women Empowerment Day in Belfast with Jo Calvino
Thursday 30 April 2015 - Belfast, UK:-
Young women from across Belfast descended upon the Whiterock Leisure Centre to participate in our 'Young Women Feeling Empowered Event'.
Running for four hours, the event featured Commonwealth Games weightlifter and our trustee Jo Calvino running basic classes in her sport, boxing, football, health check-ups, healthy eating and cooking demonstrations, make up demonstrations, alternative therapies and lots more.
The event was attended by Junior Minister Jennifer McCann, DCAL Deputy Secretary Cynthia Smith and Rosie McCorley MLA.
Jo Calvino also took time to visit our Belfast offices and speak to our staff.
