Abizeleth says: I really love the mixture of lines in this photo. It is visually very pleasing and the mix of vertical and horizontal is just wonderful.

Abizeleth says: The yellow sand and bright blue sky are terrific in this photo, but what really drew me in was the lines and shadows on the landscape taking your eye up to the sky.

Abizeleth says: One of my favorite winter landscape shots - the shadows from the stair railing really are striking and lead your eye up over the horizon. A beautifully composed shot!

Abizeleth says: I liked the sweeping lines of the rocks leading your eye up, but then combined with the anchor of the branch on the rocks, it leaves you with a real sense of balance in the shot.

Abizeleth says: The lines in this shot gradually fade as you move towards the horizon -- It lends a sense of distance to the shot, and adds to the misty mood.

Abizeleth says: I've been to Death Valley, but never seen anything like this. The contrast of the straight lines on the hill with the curves at the bottom of the frame really are striking - a great perspective!

Abizeleth says: Amazing undulating lines on the landscape - how did the mower get around the tree? :)

Abizeleth says: Su Inc has a great eye for intimate landscapes. That may sound like an oxymoron, but I've found that his landscapes are often rooted in an object or person that makes the large field of view seem personal somehow. This photo is in that genre, and when you realize that the lines are graves, it brings a real sense of intimacy to the shot.

Abizeleth says: This photo has a lot going for it. The soft lines in the snow lead your eye towards the snow-covered trees, of course, but also the sky and the soft hues of sunset also really are remarkable.

Abizeleth says: I don't normally like photos that have the subject at dead center, but in this case it really works, as the furrows in the soil lead your eye straight to a beautiful tree silhouette. The fact that there are no leaves on the trees and the field hasn't been planted yet makes the shot unusual and adds to the ambiance, I think.

Abizeleth says: I knew I wanted a shot of tulips in this gallery, and when I saw this one, I knew I'd found the one I wanted. The vanishing point aspect of the lines is fantastic, but what really sets it apart is the sky and the use of light in the shot. It's truly outstanding, I think.

Abizeleth says: A late entry into the gallery - I left a few slots open because I knew I'd come across photos like this one that really belonged to the group! I also really wanted a shot of water with lines, but wasn't sure how that would be accomplished. uzumewinter has captured the reflection of the sky in the mud flats beautifully, and the balance of dark at the top and bottom of the photo are just gorgeous.

Abizeleth says: I've seen a lot of tulip landscape shots, but this one is just amazing for it's sheer scope. Remarkable color and wonderful use of the people as scale objects!

Abizeleth says: There are lots of things to love about this photo - the contrast of the lines in the foreground and the natural vegetation in the hills is very unusual and interesting. I also love the way the line density changes as you move towards the horizon - it makes for interesting textures.

Abizeleth says: The light highlighting the lines in the sand really make this photo special! The silhouetted tree and the beautiful colors are an added bonus. Spectacular all around.
