All the devatas appeared and asked the furious Lord to calm down to which he wouldn't listen. They asked Prahlada to go to the Lord and calm him. On seeing him the Lord withdrew his anger. Since his face was of Lion's and body of a man, he is termed as Narasimha.---------------------
