Concentrating On Something
Pets are lovely to have about, though from not ever owning one myself in any shape or form, I know a person who does, and with her permission, I was able to photograph the dog and two cats.
This dog is a bitch called Lady. A very friendly foot warmer as she will not get off your toes as soon as you walk in or stay still for more than 10 seconds. With fuss and attention, I turned that attention to playtime with her and the cats in the garden.
I used my telephoto lens to try to capture the moment and the expressions that these animals give off. Of course, they do not smile as such, but they do have in their own way a look, hence the term "Puppy Dog Eyes"
Looking a little serious in this capture, what Lady was mostly concentrating on was a ball. Fetch is a game that many dogs love and with no exception to her. I trained my camera up while laying on the floor at her height, and when she was watching what was about to be thrown, I caught her in this pose waiting and watching.
I filled the frame to get as much of her head as possible, as I felt with background around, it would have been too distracting.
