The Way the Wind Blows

Much attention is paid to the crashing waves and giant haystack rocks that dot the Oregon Coast, and rightly so, but one can also get lost looking down to the textures and forms underfoot.

While Sarah was walking up and down the beach, enjoying the sun and surf, I was mesmerized by this partially hidden piece of driftwood and the sand patterns that formed around it. Depending on the winds, it's possible this wasn't here the day before, or maybe it was gone the day after. Regardless, this scene caught my eye and the attention of my lens, resulting in one my favorite images from the trip.
