Abstract in Nature
Mother Nature never ceases to amaze, even on a small scale. Earth, Wind, and multi-legged life combine to create an abstract sand sketch on the dunes in Southern Oregon.
Tall, thick grass accounts for the broad strokes, while barely visible hairs of grass swipe and make their presence felt. The harsh late season sun played off anything vertical, creating shadows with varying diffusion and opacity, and a critter makes its mark with a Pollock-esque scamper across the canvas.
The sands along the Oregon coast are vast and ever changing. It's easy to focus outward to the towering dunes, but don't forget the small scale beauty right under your nose.
