Shelf
There weren't a whole lot of places to sit on this hike. Without a lot of open fields, it was three days of our butts looking for the flat side of a rock or sitting in the dirt....not great for the lower back. The first couple days we enjoyed this flat rock shelf along the lake. Great spot to take a nap or dry off after a dip.
We noramlly hike with thermarest sleep pads along with a little cloth/nylon system to rig in into a chair with a back. It's a thin mat, so not super comfortable to sleep on (especially if you're a side sleeper like me), but the chair option is great. Before this trip we upgraded our mats to a Big Agnes....way more comfortable to sleep on, but no chair function. After perching ourselves on uncomfortable rocks/slopes we bit the bullet and bought some lightweight tent pole chairs.
