Three lonely guards at an even lonelier and more desolate checkpoint. This place was the definition of boredom. The poor guards were doing their military service. For 18 months or so they would sit at the post. No, electricity, no running water, no cards. Lots of cigarettes and an aging guard dog from Russia. I felt bad for them.
