Yo-Yo Table Runner
Fabrics used in making this table runner come from a cake layer made by Moda Fabric. A cake layer is a grouping of forty selected fabrics made to go together perfectly. In this case, Hello Betty is the name of this fabric line and the fabric designer is Chloe's Closet. The fabrics in this table runner are vintage reproduction fabrics made to look like vintage feed-sacks and are made of 100% cotton.
This item is very textural because of all the gathering in each yo-yo. Each yo-yo was handmade using Clover's Jumbo Yo-Yo Maker which allows for uniformity of each yo-yo. White cotton thread was used to sew each yo-yo and to stitch the table runner together. The sizing was not washed out of the fabric and extra starch was used when pressing each yo-yo flat. Caring for this item would include using cold water and hand-washing. Lay flat to dry. Once dry, use starch and an iron to press each yo-yo to keep the shape.
