A Wonderland Chair (Surrealism)

34/52 - Uniform

Before anyone says "Are you joking?" I'm really not. I did a shoot some weeks ago (before the prompt was due) and this chair happened to be in the mix. Most of the images from that shoot are either a bit dull or, looked far less uniform that I'd initially seen them. I'd written this one off as being not uniform enough.

However, now that I've finished it, I really wanted to share with the group, so I'm hoping you all will cut me some slack and find the uniformity within the image. Thanks!! :-)))

Tech Details for anyone interested: This is just a straight color shot, shadow and all. Nothing was cropped, added or taken away. That great shadow was the luck of my position relative to the sun and the chair. Only colors and levels were modified.

Initially, I was merely trying to give some solidity to the highlighted area of the chair. It just wasn't holding it's own next to the shadow. To give that solidity, I multiplied the photo and masked areas that needed work. Quite by accident, I bumped the saturation on the shadow and realized the possibilities might be worth exploring... and I did. (It occurs to me, this might make a good monochrome, now that I can see the substance in the highlights.)
