dragonfly and gear steampunk earrings

These are much larger then many of the earrings I've made before but they are so light. I thought the dragonflies are quite pretty, though they aren't a perfect pair - there's a bit of variation if you look close. I used the tiny tiny reddish-purple stones that dangle at the end. A lot of steampunk jewelry combines the Victorian esthetic and love of the ornate with machined parts like these discs from different vintage watches. I've been quite lucky to put together so many pairs.
