an example of the results of the experiment with a homemade filter on the front of the ixus. basically the lid of a 35mm film tub hacked so it'll fit over the lens of the ixus, with various materials superglued onto it. in this case, it's a hi-tech red filter created using the magnetic media from the innards of a 3.5" floppy. gives it a lovely soft exposure and kills almost all blue light and about 50% of green. i'm sure the bluetack i used to stick it on the ixus must have had an effect too...
