Some mods I made with my magnetic mount I adapted from a Harbor Freight suction cup mount and a Super Clamp. I took off the suction cups to the HF mount and added some large magnets to the base. It works great and the Super Clamp swivels, so I can attach this mount to a metal surface and it is incredibly secure. I use it on my sidecar all the time and at high speeds.
