Dune buggy body over 1954 VW Beetle mechanicals, 1600cc 4-cyl air, cooled.

 

Designed & manufactured in California by Dean Jeffries, who also created the Monkeemobile from 'The Monkees' & the James Bond moon buggy. He also famously painted the 'Lil' bastard' logo on James Dean's ill fated Porsche Speedster.
