☼ Little me in a big world ☼ [Explore #99]

I have named the three puffball Piping Plover babies: Peaches, Paco and Petals. (Yes, I've lost my mind.) I'm irrevocably and unconditionally in love with them! So for those who come across this photograph and have no idea what I'm talking about: The three chicks parent's names are "Polly & Peter". Polly was tagged in January 2010 in the Grand Islands in the Bahamas. She migrated to Long Island, New York (quite a ways!) and I happen to find her one day crawling on my belly.

When we first met, Polly just laid her last egg (4th) which takes 1.5 days to lay one for a Piping Plover. I've been watching Polly and her mate Peter ever since! Chicks were born on May 29th at 04:30 am.

Again, not meant to compete with the big league camera people -- just a photograph that I happen to fall in love with as soon as I opened it -- saved it then uploaded it here.
