Arrival at Mino-Ōta
From earlier times - going through my old photographs while social distancing at home...
Driver's-eye view.
In the distance a train approaches from the opposite direction, with the station acting as a passing loop on the single track line.
It's a lovely track layout, for all you model railway fans.
At the time I took this photograph I didn't make a record of the station's name. However, the photo's timestamp is some 100 minutes after a picture I took shortly before departure from Takayama station; checking the timetable I found the most likely station; and I confirmed this by comparing the Google Maps satellite image for Mino-Ōta (click here if you're interested) with the track layout and station buildings visible in the photograph :-)
