"Rue de Paris, temps de pluie", Gustav Caillebotte, 1877.

 

One of my favourite paintings. I love the subdued colour palette, the rain glistening on the cobble stones, the photographic approach, the way the street lamp and its rainy reflection divides the painting in two. On display in Berlin at the time of this photo.
