Carrying a swallow on its smoke deflector as a reminder of its days hauling the "Tsubame" (Swallow) express between Tokyo and Osaka; and a "1st anniversary" disk to reflect the reincarnation of the Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum as the Kyoto Railway Museum, it was a delight to see this engine in steam.
