Evening departure
Shot through the locomotive's exhaust, the smoke seems to cover everything in a thick layer of grime as Battle of Britain Class number 34070 "Manston" passes Swanage shed with an up train bound for Norden. In spite of my romantic title, the photograph was actually taken on a sunny summer afternoon in August 2016!
