Two electric and one steam
A pair of Class 6E1 Bo-Bo electric locomotives sit outside Cape Town station hiding all but the smoke box of a steam locomotive. If anyone can help identify the class of steam loco I would be very grateful...
I had to post this photo even though it is technically and compositionally much poorer than my usual standard, having been taken from a moving train - don't you just hate catenary masts, always getting in the way of sideways photographs. In fact, I was so focused on capturing the electric locomotives that I didn't even realise there was a steam engine present until I was at home reviewing my photographs!!!
