Simple & balanced
I haven't gotten out much lately so I've pulled one from 'the vault'. For a better view, press 'L'
This is one of the very first pictures I took when I got my E-M5 last year. A friend loaned me a flash and I took the opportunity to give droplets a go.
Apart from the Frankenstein-esque droplet device (2 chairs, a broom handle, tape, string and a drinking straw, overhanging the obligatory bowl of water), the set-up was relatively simple.
The flash was set at a relatively low power and connected with a sync cord. The room was darkened & the flash was positioned at back right of the bowl.
The latest 'thing' is to have fantastic colours refracting through the drops from the background . . . I decided to go the opposite direction.
If you're interested, my set of droplet photos can be found here.
