West Riding Automobile Co. 670, 995, 3 and 803
Seen outside the Ludlam Street depot of the West Yorkshire Transport Museum in 1987 are two fine West Riding double deckers and two splendid coaches:
PHL235G was the last double deck bus ordered by West Riding before it was consumed by the Transport Holding Company (later National Bus Company). It was subsequently exported to the United States.
UCX275 was one of two Guy Wulfrunians ordered by County Motors of Lepton which later passed to West Riding. It still exists largely in the state it was withdrawn from service in 1972.
EHL472D was the middle one of the last batch of three Bedford VALs ordered by West Riding. It went on to give great service with Smith's of Blowfield. Following a superb restoration, it passed to an operator in the Midlands and is currently in storage awaiting restoration again.
JHL983 was an AEC Reliance with a Roe Dalesman body. It was acquired from the Winkleigh transport collection and restored to pristine condition. It then spent some time with Classic Coaches of High Wycombe who ran it in service. It now needs restoring again.
