Wakefield Bus Station
Seen in the old Wakefield Bus Station in 1985 was this 12m Midland Red West Leyland Tiger with a Plaxton Paramount 3200 body, B107JAB.
This coach was one of a batch of six that had been purchased earlier in the year. Two were in National Express Rapide livery, two in the maroon Midwest, the brand of Midland Red West's coaching unit and the last two in silver and lime green Eurocruising livery.
The Eurocruising pair were for a contract hire with a holiday company but it ceased trading just before they were delivered so they were sent to National Travel East at Frost Hill (Liversedge) for six months. In the opposite direction, Leyland Royal Tiger/Plaxton 3500s A327 XHE and A328XHE went to work in Worcester.
She is pictured here after the NTE loan ended working the 563 Rapide service to London whilst on hire to West Yorkshire Road Car Company of Harrogate and numbered 2200 in the WYRCCo fleet.
