2012 17" Ariel Singing Doll from the Disney Store
This is my first and only singing doll so far. They're quite tall, so it's hard to find a spot for them, so I might not get all. My niece got Rapunzel, and I liked her more, but I didn't want us to have the same doll, I originally wanted Aurora, because I thought she was the best looking one in this category, at least to my taste, but after I placed the order online, I got a message the next day from the Disney Store saying she was out of stock, So I got Ariel, I actually had a hard time deciding between her and Mulan, as the dolls were both very pretty and I love both the songs they sing, in the end I picked Ariel because character wise, I like Ariel more, plus she was wearing a sort of unique dress compared to the others, which was not available in the classic form, while Mulan was wearing the same outfit in both Singing and Classic form.
The one thing that drives me a bit crazy, is her sensitivity, she sometimes will start singing at the slightest touch, and not even on her hand, so she ends up giving me a fright, lol.
I've been seeing that this year's singing dolls will be different, about 12" instead of 17", while that makes them easier to store, they don't seem that much different from the classic ones, so I might pass on them, too bad I missed out on last years, but frankly I might have not had enough space anyways. I am considering a lot in getting Anna and Elsa Singing Dolls if they are in fact 17" like they look in the fan pictures from D23. Only because I am quite obsessed with Frozen at the moment, hehe, we'll see. Budget, but mostly space, are my main problem.
