Sympetrum fonscolombii (f)

A female red-veined darter, called the nomad on iNat, balancing on a dead plant stem. I've seen these dragonflies in Greece, Malta, and now in the Algarve. Here they showed up all along the eastern Ria Formosa. This one was one of many on the Praia de Faro.
