Pied Starling

Thought it was about time for a South African bird posting - one or two may follow during December :-)

 

This is one of a large number of pied starlings making a living by stealing food from the ostriches on the Safari ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn - in the mountains inland from George on the Cape Garden Route.

 

Only place I've seen this bird (so far) on the South African adventure.
