So to achieve getting the No.3 Timbercar carrying the Winch, unloaded and into the workshop, the following moves were required.

I would need an extra panel of track placed off the end of the portable TT so to move that panel from its current location at Woodside, I had to get the Inclinecar from out by the front door and roll out to WestSide Jct.

 

There on the WestSide Br sat the Rotary Orecar, so rolled that back out on the Main towards Woodsend, rolled the Inclinecar back down to Woodside and fetched the 10Lb track panel, then back out to the Mainline. From there I rolled back to Creekside Jct stopping short of the switch, spragged the car on the steep grade. Went ahead and fetched the No.1 Timbercar(Highsider) this was sitting partially loaded on the new fill of the new Branch, and dropped that back onto the Mainline in the clear at the A-Frame Bridge.

 

Then the Inclinecar was moved onto the new branch to place track panel on the far side of the TT. That done, back out on to the Main and set at Woodstock, rolled No.1 TC back upgrade to join the Inclinecar and spragged it there also.

 

Headed back to the first Shop siding, pulled out the No.3 Timbercar onto the Main to roll down to Creekside Jct and out onto the new branch, off loaded the Handwinch and then returned to the Mainline. Used gravity to drop the Mty No.3 down onto the Bridge, then the No.1 back down onto the new fill where it belonged, followed by the Inclinecar back to couple on behind the No.3. Rolled both back to the Shop, leaving the Inclinecar on the Main ready for the nightly wood supply run to Woodstock, and put the No.3 TC onto the Workshop siding via the hop-over. That allowed me to then load and move the Batterybox outside for primer paint.

 

Since I "poled" the orecar out of the way, and consider direction changes only to count as "moves", I think 15 moves by hand and assuming I had shoved the orecar back onto the Mill Br. to get it out of the way, same with the shove on the No.1 TC back onto the bridge rather than the gravity drop I did, then if I was using the Motor, moves should be about 26.

 

Total hand tramming distance came to be about 770 yards, a long way just to move the No.3 Timbercar 10ft laterally.

Who says you can't have this much fun on this amount of track?
