Gary Curran says: Kimberly, I think the dark blue and the grey foreground truly surround and highlight the church. When I first looked at it, I had wondered if this was a long term exposure and some light painting with friends, but I dismissed that after looking at it. The steeple and the bell tower draw your eye right in. With the cemetery behind the church, it brings back a feeling of old. I like the way the one gravestone monument lines up with the roof line at the back of the church. All in all, very well done.

Gary Curran says: I remember the night that TMI happened. I was living in Connecticut at the time, and I was working for a newspaper, so we watched and waited for our world to end in a mushroom cloud (not that would be the end result, but people didn't really know about nuclear power as much back then, and people really were afraid the genie had gotten out of the bottle.) After some time, I ended up living in Pennsylvania, and have driven by TMI several times, as well as have seen it from the air. Harrisburg airport is probably just behind you. I like how this appears so calm and peaceful, the second reactor doing it's duty and it's job, while Reactor 1 lays silent, as a testimony that neither man nor computer is infallible, and if you get it wrong, it's going to hurt.

Gary Curran says: This is a most remarkable piece of art, and I did not know it was made of glass. It depicts speed, in it's very essence. It pulls on the strings of young men and boys and girls who dream they might have been like a cartoon character, and move super fast. Yes, the photo also captures the loveliness of it's new setting, and the composition is excellent.

Gary Curran says: Windmills, per se, do not excite me. This photo, on the other hand, combines the dark colors of the just dawn morning, the crack of the sun and the light rays radiating out. The one ray reaches to the arm of the windmill, almost as if saying 'Time to start moving, I am up, and you too must begin your day.' This touches me.

Gary Curran says: I do not know what this is, but the shape intrigues me. Could it be a giant spaceship, some outlandishly huge atomic structure of an element, or something unknown to my thought patterns? I don't know, but I do like it.

Gary Curran says: I guess, if you are of a certain age, you might not understand the concept of 'landmark', but I'm sure a young boy or young girl knows where this is, and it is landmarked for them. By the way, I truly love the color of the wood.
