Jesper Lassen
Big-headed fly, Øjeflue
Pipunculidae sp.
An early morning single shot. Natural light.
f/4.7, 1.6 sec, ISO200, 1.8:1
In Danish this one is called an "Eye fly", which is quite appropriate. They are parasitic and lay their eggs in various leafhopper nymphs which also quite appropriatly was found in abundance in the same place.
This little guy was too awake for a stack so I had to settle for a single shot - not the best I know but since this is a first for me I decided to keep it.
Taken with the 4/45 Apo-Componon @ f/4.7 and a complete set of OM extension tubes.
