Fossett's Circus, Kilkenny 21-5-2017

After attending the 2pm show at Fossett's in the HUB, Kilkenny, I remained on the site to take some photos of the pulling down of the big top and of some of Fossett's loads. A new addition to the fleet was an ERF E6 horsebox which replaced a Volvo FL7 after it experienced some mechanical trouble. Also new is an IVECO lorry which has replaced a Volvo FL6 in pulling Herta's wagon. The kitchen trailer and show front has been replaced by a drag trailer which now travels behind the bunk load. Robert Fossett is seen loading horses and preparing the ticket office for travelling. Edward Fossett Senior is seen operating the matbro to load equipment and pull out some of the transport. Robert leaves ahead of the main convoy with the bunk load followed by the ticket office, Suzanne Chipperfield and the artists' transport. The show then leaves later that night with Edward Fossett leading with the ERF E10 pulling a seating box and low loader while Edward Junior travels to the rear with the DAF and his wagon. Edward Senior's wagon. the tent load, the horsebox, stable, bandstand and seating remained at Cillín to be collected later that morning.
