Bella Coola Petroglyph

If the sun didn't hit this glyph at this angle chances are you'd never see it. When the light is flat and grey this glyph just disappears into forest flora.

 

They are believed to have been made by the Nuxalk people. Many of them are thought to have been made between 5,000 and 10,000 years ago. Most petroglyphs are carved on vertical surfaces however many of the Bell Coola petroglyphs were carved on flat rock outcrops.
