Tree Sparrow Passer montanus

I photographed this Tree Sparrow at Welney in Norfolk where a few could be seen moving low and further away than the bolder House Sparrows with which they mixed. Reputed to be shyer, this was the only shot I managed of this once widespread bird whose decline is similar to that of other farmland birds due to intensification of agriculture and use of herbicides and insecticides as well as loss of insect rich wetlands, seeds, grain and insects being their main source of food.

Thank you all for your kind responses,
