Wren Troglodytes troglodytes - November Delight
November was feeling decidedly like the low point of the year until a tiny gem of a bird, the Wren, (weighing less then half an ounce) popped up right on my doorstep. With well camouflaged spindle-like legs, slimmer than the twisty twine of the now bare creeper which it gripped tightly with curled feet and claws, it was a marvel of deft movement in its search for insects and spiders amongst the tangled masses.
Thank you all for your kind responses.
