Pannage Pig

Pannage is an ancient practice still used by local people called Commoners whereby they let their pigs lose in the New Forest to hoover up fallen acorns and beech nuts which are poisonous to ponies and cattle. This pig is doing just that and has an acorn in its mouth. Pannage usually lasts around 60 days and started on11th September this year.
