Cormorant Phalacrocorax carbo Perched

Having seen fewer along the south coast this year I was pleased to see this Cormorant perched in one of the trees around Alton Pond. This is the British breeding race "carbo" rather than the continental "sinensis". My thanks to Tim Melling for clarifying the distinguishing features below.
