Muntjac Deer (Muntiacus reeves)

A non-native species, the Muntjack is also known as the barking deer. The male, seen here, has two distinguishing lines that run across the forehead towards the snout. Unfortunately Muntjack can have a profoundly adverse effect on shrubs and ground layers in woodland.
