KTZ 2TE10M-2510 uphil from Ekibastuz to the Boagtyr mine 13 May 2024 3
Monday morning. 2TE10M-2521 heads beneath a derelict railway overbridge on the edge of Ekbibastuz with coal empties up to the Bogatyr' mine. May the 13th 2024.
There are two derelict lines to the tips, out of three. It would appear that they have been abandoned from a Northerly direction. This is the first, the other, passing under this line is shown in another photo, still has the railway lines intact, though very rusted with collapsing catenary. The ancient Soviet concrete has its attractions, so on the morning of our departure from this town it seemed a good idea to go first and capture a view of this bridge.
