SNCB Europorte 4007 near Hennuyères 2 June 2022
Europorte owned Vossloh Euro 4000 diesel electric number 4007 brings grain hoppers from France towards Antwerp near Hennuyères on the line from Mons into Bruxelles on the morning of June the 2nd 2022.
I stood here awaiting the SNCF BB67400 that were contracted for bringing in empty wagons from Somain in France to the Quenast quarries when this train, also coming in from France, rolled past under cautionary signals around about the time that the BB67400 were due. In fact about twenty minutes later than the times I received told me they were booked to pass. Well, the day prior I noted two of these wagons in the consist for Quenast and wondered " Surely not, this can't be a replacement and they are putting track ballast in these covered wagons " I have seen these impressive locos in France but was never in a position to take a photo, so I had waited long enough to take one but still, I would not have been happy to see this in lieu of a pair of the venerable SNCF machines..
