Ce monument résume à lui seul seize siècles de l'histoire d'Auxerre. Bien que composite, il offre un ensemble architectural d'un grand intérêt.
This monastic complex, located outside the castrum, was founded by Queen Clotilde in the 5th century. Necropolis of the bishops of Auxerre, the abbey had its hour of glory in the 9th century when it housed the prestigious school of Auxerre, which was one of the centers of the Carolingian Renaissance.
