Bus & Drain 24 Hour Service

Playing with my own Kodak Ektar 100 simulation and also the 70mm digital conversion setting. Photography is fun.

My Kodak Ektar Simulation is as follows:

Astia

DR 400

White Balance - auto +3 red -2 blue

Highlight +1

Shadow +3

Colour +4

Noise reduction -3

Sharpness 0

Clarity +1

Grain weak small

Colour Chrome Effect Strong

Colour Chrome FX Blue weak

The way I do it is to first do a basic edit with Elements 25 then I go into Fuji Raw editing and process my raw photos again adjusting the above as applicable. The most often change is to lower shadow setting from +3 to a lower setting. I then compare the Elements jepg to the Fuji raw jepg and just keep the best one I like. I do not record jepg in the camera. As for this photo the Elements gave more accurate details but the Fuji Raw gave a more arty finish. At the moment it’s about 60% elements to 40% Fuji Raw Edit.

Finally we saw a film at our local theatre called Souleymane’s Story which we did not have a clue about but what I really loved about the film was the colours the film makers used and the colour of the Ektar 100 I remember when using film. The filming was not filmed with analogue film I would imagine but I just loved it.
